Hi! My name is Tom Balazs (pronounced BA-laaajjjsh) and I am a photographer and videographer. I worked in the wine industry in Northern Michigan on the Leelanau Peninsula for 9 years. I worked at Forty-Five North and a while back, they needed quality wine bottle images for their brand new website. So I sat down with the web developer and asked how I could help. We found some examples online, I did some test shots, and the next thing I knew I was shooting their entire catalog. After perfecting my process and experimenting a bit, I decided to offer the same high quality images to the rest of the wine industry, wherever you may be located. Business took off, and forced me to think of a way to setup, shoot, edit, and deliver images faster. So, I engineered a proprietary studio lighting contraption that allows me to setup and shoot within just 2 minutes, which used to be a 30-45 minute setup time. The shooting technique also allows for a faster editing process, and a quicker turnaround. So now, I stay connected to the wine industry by providing branding imagery and video.
